REACTION FROM CONNECTIONS
Mickaël Barzalona (jockey of Hoggar de l’Ardus, 1st)
“He was very easy to ride and tried his best. I followed Olivier Peslier around, as he knows these races so well. He accelerated very well when I asked him.”
Thomas Fourcy (the trainer of 1st, 2nd and 3rd)
“It is very hard work for the Arabs in that ground. Lady Princess found the final 50 metres very hard work but I am extremely happy with her second place. Hoggar de l’Ardus had the perfect run around the inside. I received him quite late on and he just keeps progressing. He was very good at Chantilly, and I knew that the ground wouldn’t be a problem. He has got better with every race. There is a chance that he could go to Doha this winter and go for the Emir’s Sword, and then Dubaï maybe. We will have a chat with his owners first. Even at 9, Tayf gave his all and ran well.”
