Ghaiyyath enters the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe picture

Ghaiyyath (Dubawi), the Godolphin representative, sealed his passage for the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Gr1) by stamping his authority on the Grosser Preis von Baden (Gr1), a key race of the German calendar, on Sunday [September 1]. The Charlie Appleby runner is comparatively lightly raced, as the four-year-old has visited the racecourse on just seven occasions, although that didn’t prevent the four-year-old from making all the running and leaving Donjah (Teofilo) toiling 14 lengths in his wake! Furthermore, it marked Ghaiyyath’s return to action, as he hadn’t been seen in public since collecting third in the Prix Ganay (Gr1) at ParisLongchamp on April 28. Certain bookmakers have slashed the horse’s Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe odds from 33-1 to 16-1.
