Prix de Diane Longines

The most glamorous race of the year ! Ladies have been the focus of racing attention at Chantilly for the Prix de Diane Longines since 1843! The main event of the day is open to three-year-old fillies only, and they compete before the most elegant of elegant crowds.

To spend a day at the Prix de Diane Longines at Chantilly is to enjoy a truly unique afternoon that rhymes with an elegant picnic, a live concert with Brigitte and music after the races to dance the night away…

Prix de Diane Longines day is also renowned as the most elegant “Ladies’ Day” crowd anywhere.

Fashionistas with extraordinary hats rub shoulders with racing cognoscenti. Each year an elegance competition is organised by Longines to anoint the lady who best portrays the Miss Diane image.

Naturally it is a great racing rendezvous, thanks to nine races on a card run within the exceptional surroundings of the Grandes Ecuries des Princes de Condé. The highlight is the Prix de Diane Longines, a Group 1 race (the highest level of competition in racing), worth 1 million Euros in prize-money. This race is open to the best fillies in Europe over a distance of 2,100 metres. This race unveiled Trêve, a true champion who confirmed her exceptional talent when winning the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, the World’s Thoroughbred Championship in 2013 and in 2014.

In 2014, the Gregory Benoist-ridden filly Avenir Certain carried the colours of owners Gérard Augustin Normand and Antonio Caro to success in the Prix de Diane Longines.
