Longchamp Garden Party – Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris

In the flowery, shady setting of Longchamp, and in a friendly, tranquil atmosphere, France Galop invites tourists and visitors to join the natives for a relaxing garden party at the foot of the grandstands. After racing, bring on the party with dancing and a huge firework display!

On this day, racing gets at Longchamp underway later than normal, at 5pm. All the better for it, however, since the night is long! When the sun goes down racing gives way to an exceptional evening of 14th July festivities: Longchamp is illuminated and decked out for a public concert. It invites you to dance under the stars on the racecourse’s terraces that are lit up by magnificent fireworks. In 2014, the DJ Bob Sinclar set the stage alight after the races.
The Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris, backed by the Juddmonte Farms breeding operation of the Saudi, Prince Khalid Abdullah, is a major target for breeders, owners and trainers. In fact, for the first time in the French racing season, it offers three-year-old colts and fillies the chance to contest a Group 1 race over 2,400 metres. The best three-yearolds will have earlier competed in the Poules d’Essai des Poulains et des Pouliches (over 1,600 metres), followed by the Prix du Jockey-Club and the Prix de Diane Longines (2,100 meters).

In 2014, jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot steered Gallante to victory.
