Fabrice Favetto Bon has been announced as the new Head of Marketing at France Galop and will be joining racing’s governing body from 20 March 2017.
An ESCP graduate, 47 year-old Fabrice Favetto Bon has served in a number of different positions in the marketing and sales departments of sports organisations, like the 1998 Football World Cup in France and football clubs including Paris Saint-Germain. As Chairman of TeamStadia since 2011, he has headed up numerous consultancy projects within the sports and entertainment industry. For the European Championship in 2016, he was involved in the revamping of major stadiums, like Lyon, Lille, Nice or Marseille. He has also worked on large-scale projects like the Seine Musicale of Boulogne-Billancourt or the U Arena of Nanterre. In fact, Fabrice Favetto Bon has been directly involved in the design of the operating model and the specific issues linked to the opening of these sites.
Olivier Delloye, General Manager of France Galop, said: “The redeveloped Longchamp opens a year from now and I am delighted to welcome Fabrice to the position of Head of Marketing at France Galop. Due to the time restrictions, his first task will be to prepare us for the opening of Longchamp, which has to make a break with the past in terms of how we were using our racecourses. We have to create new ways of attracting new and different spectators, as well as improve the customer experience with better service. It is also important to develop new activities that will keep our customers interested in racing beyond the actual race day. These are some of the major objectives to be attained to make Longchamp a success and an example to follow for all the other France Galop racecourses. Fabrice is experienced, competent and is interested in racing, everything you need to meet this great challenge together with the teams that have already been working on the project. During the next few months, I will be working alongside Fabrice in the Communication and Owners’ Department at France Galop, so that he can fully concentrate on this task. I would also like to thank Jean-Christophe Giletta who made a significant contribution in the way our teams approach and handle the organisation of events and was responsible for many other structural projects, like the creation of the Common Marketing Racing Department. ”
Fabrice Favetto Bon declared: “I discovered racing in 2007 by becoming a racehorse owner when I joined a group of close friends who had set up a Racing Club. With them and also on my own, I enjoyed many memorable moments. My career has always been influenced by the passion that you experience in the sports and entertainment business. I am delighted to be joining France Galop for this new, exciting chapter and look forward to this brilliant challenge of taking racing and exploring new activities to the next level.”
